These designs have a very lacy look, which is why they got the title from Aunty Flo, as she did a lot of tatting.

I love the first design, suitable for anytime, just about anywhere.

Love the second design too, and one favourite bit is the pieced border with quilted motifs adding a whole new design element.

Aunty Flo was not a quilter, but she did do wonderful tatting. At one point of my life I tried doing some tatting, but I was a disaster! All I could do was tangle threads.

I love this … but do I love it most as a design for a queen size bed quilt, or a tablecloth, or a table topper, or a coaster, or a large wall hanging, or a tiny hanging for the Christmas tree … I don’t know!

Perhaps my solution would be one of each!

It maybe Christmas like colours, but these would be elegant all year, every year!

I think I like the second one slightly more than the first one … but that is subject to change. I love them both. Aunty Flo did tatting, and I think the delicate shapes and overall effect would appeal to her.
